Ok. Sorted. So it’s #PaulRobeson season here at Peoples Eastbourne and the Engels in Eastbourne Campaign 🚩 Reasons to be hopeful…..certainly, yes! We could be getting that long campaigned for commemoration at the Winter Garden, Eastbourne. Now, ok, so he was the world famous greatest bass baritone singer ever to grace our town with his performances….but hold on, he was also the greatest #civilrights spokesperson of his day (and he was hounded for being so under that dastedly deed named Mccarthyism!!).

Our town simply loved Paul Robeson back in the early 1930s and they will do so again. How could we not?
